St. joakim osogovski
The Monastery St. Joakim Osogovski, one of the most sacred facilities in Macedonia, is located 3 km northeast of Kriva Palanka, on the slopes of the Osogovo Mountains. It was built in the time of the Byzantine Emperor Manojlo (1143-1180). St. Joakim Osogovski is about 22 km northeast from Park Ginovci (the wedding venue), which is about 30 minutes away (see directions here).
Hotel Manastir Sv. Joakim Osogovski offers a very comfortable stay. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, kids' club, and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the beautiful garden views. At the hotel, all rooms have a desk, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. All guest rooms feature a closet and different interior design.
If you are looking for a very peaceful and quiet place to stay, this is our best recommendation. You could book via Booking.com or Trip Advisor. Each room has a different layout and design. To check-out the place from the outside, please see the images below:
Park ginovci
Park Ginovci is located on the opposite end of the city. It is about 20 km away from the city center of Kriva Palanka (see directions here), and about 22 km away from St. Joakim Osogovski (see directions here). Although it is about 20 minutes away from the city center, this is the venue is great if you are looking for a countryside retreat away the city.
Unfortunately, Park Ginovci does not have a website translated in English for booking, but you can find them on social media or via Viber using the following phone number: +389 76 330 699 (ask for Sanja or Eme). If you tell them Dani recommended you, you might even get a discount :) FYI, if you are already looking at their website, please note that their website is a little amateur and the images do not do justice to the natural beauty of the park. The place has 9 small/studio-style houses available (each house/bungalow is 2 bed, 1 bath). They also have a big villa available for renting and the villa has 5 rooms (5 bathrooms) and small entertaining areas + a spa center. Here’s a few images of the location:
Additional Options
If the above options are not what you were looking for; you could check out my parent’s Airbnb. They have it open most of the year, since we don’t live in MK. Another option is Noble House, which is located in the city center. This location offers 3 studio apartments according to their Booking.com page, they do not require a credit card to make a reservation. Please note that this location only accepts cash payments [it is recommended that you exchange any cash at the airport for connivance]. ATMs are also readily available all across the city center but may be difficult to spot.
